ABOUT AVALON
With an
average water temperature of 26º degrees Celsius
(79º F), you will discover the best possible
swimming conditions. Above all, you will enjoy the
transparent Cuban waters with *AVALON FISHING and
DIVING CENTERS for fishing, scuba diving or snorkelling
and the rich nature of the country's
coral barrier reefs, which can be compared to
Australia's Great Barrier Reef. Cuba's beach season
lasts all year long, a never-ending summer from
January to December.
All the
live aboards are specially designed for your
enjoyment and relax, there are five very comfortable
air-conditioned beds below deck, 4 single beds and 1
double bed; every live aboard have comfortable
baths, with good showers and plenty of hot water,
and lots of storage space for anglers.
The last
generation skiffs, all very fast and with secure
hulls, will allow you to travel conveniently and
safely to every fishing destination during your stay
in Avalon. Remember there are no fuel limitations,
so you can go to the best hidden points of fishing
easily. All the skiffs have room for your fishing
tackle and equipment, and each has a stowed cooler
to keep beverages, fruits and food fresh throughout
the entire fishing day. The bow has enough space to
accommodate a fisherman with a bar especially
located on every skiff, giving comfort and best manoeuvrability
while you cast and enjoy your
fishing.
Our chefs
always set a wonderful table. Dinners are primarily
fresh seafood & fish each day, including lobster
and conch. There is also chicken, pork and
vegetarian dishes for those who prefer. Salads and a
variety of fruits are served every day as are
incredible local desserts.
The Avalon
guides and crew spend about 250 days every year on
the sea, giving them solid experience to remedy any
need, expectation and anxiety you may have. The
crew, captain, and guides, begin working before you
arrive until after all have left their company and
they are there for your every need 24-hours a day.
The guides are specialists in fly fishing, spinning
and bait casting and they will be there to assist
you at all times, making your fishing trip an
experience of a lifetime. The crew members are in
charge of the ship, the food, room cleaning and
general maintenance, so you should not be worried at
all by any of these needs.
