Lake Nasser - Nile Perch & Tiger Fish
Tim Baily's fishing safaris for Nile perch and tiger fish on Lake Nasser need little introduction. The lake covers an area of 2,400 square miles and aside from fantastic fishing it is a magical wilderness of stunning desert scenery. The area is thinly populated by peasant fishermen and the local residents are Bedouin. Over 100 species of birds have been recorded and in most areas there are crocodile and monitor lizards. Dorcas gazelle, jackals, desert fox and various smaller desert mammals inhabit the area.
Apart from Nile perch and Tiger fish there are 18 species of catfish and two species of tilapia. Nile perch is one of the largest freshwater fish and can be caught on conventional and fly fishing tackle. The most reliable record for Lake Nasser is 392lbs. The best fish caught on a safari is 230lbs. Tiger fish abound in the lake and 12lb fish have been caught. The size and strength of a Nile perch is one thing, but for sheer sport on light tackle, a Tiger fish takes a lot of beating. Catfish offer great sport, the largest caught to date is 74lb 8oz.

Nubian Safaris
A Nubian safari consists of one or two fishing boats supported by a mother ship. This safari can start or end on any day of the year and last for as long as is required which is ideal for anglers who would like to have the flexibility of deciding how long they want to stay on a fishing safari. This safari offers a degree of independence which many anglers prefer and is ideal for two anglers or a small group of friends who would like to set out and explore the lake, at their own pace, on a private fishing adventure that has few equals anywhere.

Price Includes: Meeting and assistance at airport, all transfers between airports, hotels and safari start point, two nights in a first class hotel with a buffet breakfast, use of fishing boats for 8 hours a day with an experienced English speaking fishing guide, mother ship with cook and safari crew, Government taxes and fishing permits, comprehensive set of fishing tackle and lures. All meals are provided on a safari.
Not Included: International flights, evening meals in Luxor, gratuities and items of a personal nature.
Abu Simbel Safaris
The Abu Simbel Safari starts every Tuesday and ends on a Sunday between the dates shown. The safari price is per person and includes the Arrival & Departure package which takes care of your travel arrangements from your arrival at either Cairo or Luxor airport until you board your home bound flight.
Itinerary:
Day 1 - On arrival in Egypt, our representative will meet you at either Luxor or Cairo airport in the arrival hall. You will be assisted through customs and immigration. Connect to your flight to Aswan. A representative will meet you at Aswan and transfer you to a first class hotel for the night.
Day 2 - Transfer to Garf Hussein for your fishing safari to Abu Simbel.
Day 3-5 - Fishing and exploring Lake Nasser on the Abu Simbel Safari.
Day 6 - The morning is spent fishing, in the afternoon you will visit the Temples at Abu Simbel before being transferred back to Aswan where you will spend one night at a first class hotel.
Day 7 - You will be transferred to Aswan airport for your flight to Cairo or Luxor.

Price Includes: 2 nights at a first class hotel in Aswan (bed and breakfast), transfers, services of a professional fishing guide, boatmen and safari crew. 5 nights on Lake Nasser on a boat. Use of fishing boats for 6 hours per day for 5 days. Unlimited shore fishing, all meals and bottled mineral water.
Not Included: International flights, evening meals in Luxor and Aswan, fishing permit, gratuities and items of a personal nature.
Fishing and Nature Touring
In addition to your fishing holiday we can arrange extensions to see some of Egypt's wonderful highlights. A one or two night visit to Cairo to see the Pyramids, Sphinx and Egyptian Museum and enjoy the wonderful markets. Two or three extra nights in Luxor to see the Valley of the Kings, and Karnak and Luxor Temples. A day excursion to see the wonderful temple of Abu Simbel from Aswan or if time allows a Nile Cruise for either 3, 4 or 7 nights. A few nights at the beach and diving resorts of Hurghada and Sharm Al Sheikh.
Lake Nasser Safari
Departure dates are guaranteed. You will spend your first and last night in a hotel in Luxor or Aswan, and five nights on the Lake. The safari is made up of two or more fishing boats supported by a supply boat, which acts as a mobile camp. The supply boat has a full kitchen, dining and rest area, toilet and shower.
