You are here
Sweden
Sweden's many rivers, streams and lakes offer prime fishing for the sports fisherman. Fishing pressure is low and there is good fishing for trout, grayling, pike and salmon. The vast array of pristine lakes and rivers, its friendly people and stunning scenery are an affordable option for the travelling fisherman.

In LAPLAND, the rivers KONKAMA, MUONIO and TORNIO form the 335 mile border between Sweden and Finland. There is excellent fly fishing for grayling in the Muonio and good Arctic char and brown trout fishing in some nearby lakes. The midnight sun allows you to fish around the clock in May and June if you wish. There are reasonable runs of Baltic salmon and sea trout in the river, which can be an added bonus to your fishing holiday.
Fishing In Sweden
We offer fishing in the Kultsjon ( including heli-fishing the Fiskonbacken ), Ammarnas, Grankullavik, Vastervik, and Morrum rivers, and rivers and lakes in Lapland.
Guiding
Guiding is not necessary every day but we would recommend a guide for one or two days of your holiday.

Morrum - Salmon and Sea Trout
Salmon and Sea Trout
Morrum is one of Sweden's best salmon rivers and has been an angling tradition since 1231. The river is not commercially fished any longer and an exclusive fish management programme is operated. The daily number of rods is also restricted. During April the catch consists mainly of sea trout which have remained in the river during the winter. These fish often weight over 22 lbs. Smaller, newly arrived sea trout are also caught. Towards the end of April Baltic salmon enter the river and during May, June and July they dominate the catch. The average weight is 20 lbs but fish over 40 lbs are not uncommon. In August and September the fishing focuses mainly on the large numbers of migrating sea trout weighing up to 30 lbs.
