Wyoming

Trout
The Blue Ribbon Trout Streams of Montana, Wyoming and Idaho with their prolific hatches and superb dry fly fishing have long filled the dreams of every fisherman.  The fishing, scenery, sense of space and the wildlife make a wonderful fishing holiday in this truly unspoiled part of America.
FISHING IN WYOMING
We offer fishing in the North Platte and Snake rivers.
FISHING SEASONS   Prime Time
Brown, Rainbow and Cutthroat Trout
Year round
Best time beginning of July to October
Avoid run off at the end of June
NORTH PLATTE RIVER
North Platte River needs little introduction and has excellent fishing for brown and rainbow trout.  Above and below Saratoga all the fish are wild and therefore fishing is more of a challenge.  Wading is easier in the fall than in early summer when the water levels are higher.  Late June and July produce good hatches of caddis flies.  There are also good stonefly hatches in late June and mayflies are seen on the water throughout July, August and September.  In the cooler days of October there are more takes on streamers and nymph patterns.

SNAKE RIVER
Snake River rises in Yellowstone National Park.  Part of the river is best suited to floating, other areas can be waded.  95 per cent of the fish are cutthroat trout, the rest being brown and brook trout.  If the Snake is a little strong for your fishing skills, its three tributaries, the Gros Ventre, Flat Creek and Hoback offer gentler alternatives.
