Little Cayman is one of the least developed tropical islands in the western hemisphere. The lure of the island is its seclusion, excellent flats, game and reef fishing and diving Bloody Bay Wall which is one of the healthiest reef environments in the world. The Island also boasts a variety of birds as well as colony of red-footed boobies.

Southern Cross Club is located on Little Cayman island, about 400 miles South of Miami, and was founded in 1958 when Little Cayman boasted a population of just 12 people. The island now has a bustling population of just over 100. If you dream of escaping to a place with world class diving, fishing, peace and relaxation, few places in the world can compare with the charm, comfort and hospitality of the southern Cross Club. Fishing the flats for bonefish, permit and jacks inside the reef is diverse and exciting. Southern Cross Club has the only full service fishing facility on Little Cayman and their guides have years of local knowledge. There is also a small inland lake with land-locked Tarpon in the 20 - 50 pound range. At sunrise and sunset you will often find these fish feeding on the surface. Game fishing is also available. Accommodation is in comfortable rooms with private bathrooms along the beach facing the sea and uninhabited Owen Island. The Club's main building is in the middle of the beach and houses the diing room, a screened open air dining pavillion, the bar, thatched Tiki bar and swimming pool. Guests have free use of kayaks, bicycles and snorkelling equipment. The Club offers some fantastic diving to view extraordinary underwater sights of Little Cayman, including the famous Blooday Bay Marine Park, and MS Keith Tibbets. |
