Bonefish, Tarpon, Permit & Deep Sea Fishing
Belize is ideal for fishermen looking for an excellent mix of saltwater flats and reef fishing. The country has a great deal to offer with its ruins from the Mayan civilization, dense, uncharted jungle and shallow, crystal-clear coastal waters.
Both El Pescador and Turneffe Flats have knowledgeable guides to help you explore this vast fishery. Impressive numbers of bonefish of 3-7lbs (the largest 12lbs), permit of 8-12lbs (the largest 30lbs) and tarpon 30-90lbs (the largest 130lbs) are caught year round, with the larger tarpon migrating past in May to August. Snook also frequent the immense network of channels and flats, while kingfish, dorado, sailfish, marlin, wahoo and tuna, as well as cubera snapper, shark, barracuda and jacks are an ever-present bonus.

El Pescador
Located off the coast of Northern Belize Ambergris Cay is a 15 minute flight from Belize International Airport followed by a short boat ride to the lodge.
The lodge has large classical tarpon flats and tidal channels where tarpon can be spotted. There are good numbers of resident fish from 20-70lbs with fish over 100lbs not uncommon year round. Belize is one of the few areas that the silver king can be stalked in clear water. There are good numbers of bonefish and permit with four or five good wading flats for tailing bonefish. The lagoons of Frenchman's and Hicks Cays provide an excellent environment for permit.
El Pescador is a stunning collonial lodge on the Bahia del Punta Arena just outside San Pedro. The main lodge has 12 air-conditioned double rooms on two levels overlooking the decked pool and the white sand beach. Close by there are also four luxury two story, three bedroom villas that have their own swimming pool.

Turneffe Flats
Turneffe Flats is one of the best known lodges in Belize, offering an excellent fishing and diving programme. Accommodation for 16 guests is in large, comfortable, air-conditioned rooms on the beach. Each room has a queen-size bed and one single bed, with private bathroom with shower. The main lodge has a large, breezy veranda, dining room and well stocked bar. Meals are a delightful blend of local seafood, fresh vegetables and international dishes.

Diving, snorkelling, kayaking, sightseeing, swimming or just relaxing in the sun.
