Marlin, Sailfish & Bluewater Fishing
This is a beautiful island and a great choice for a combination of fishing, touring and beach holidays. When you are not fishing there are magnificent walks and many hillside towns to explore. The island is about 250 miles west of Morocco. The ocean depth drops off to 2000 metres just a short distance from the island and along this shelf blue marlin, wahoo, mahi mahi and tuna are caught.

Accommodation
QUINTA DA PENHA DE FRANCA
Quinta da Penha de Franca is a 4 star hotel on the waterfront of the capital, Funchal. The town centre is a short walk away and there are many restaurants nearby. All rooms have private bathrooms and you can choose to stay in the original Quinta or the New Wing in rooms with garden or sea views. The hotel has a bar, restaurant, two saltwater pools and private access to the waterfront. It is a 10 minute walk to the marina.
