ANDROS

Andros is the largest island in The Bahamas and one of the world's most celebrated bonefishing destinations. Its vast network of shallow flats, tidal creeks and mangrove-lined bays provides an extraordinary variety of fishing, from the famous west side to the sheltered waters of the Bights and the Joulter Cays.

Bonefish are abundant, with fish of 4–6 lb regularly encountered and the possibility of considerably larger specimens. Permit, tarpon, barracuda and jacks provide additional opportunities. Situated on the North Bight, Andros Island Bonefish Club is a well-established fishing lodge with access to some of the island's most productive flats.

Small Hope Bay Lodge

Small Hope Bay Lodge is a charming, family-run resort on the east coast of Andros, welcoming guests for more than 60 years.

Accommodation is in comfortable beachfront cabins, with excellent food and a friendly, informal atmosphere. The lodge is particularly well known for its diving and snorkelling, with the Andros Barrier Reef lying just offshore.

Tiamo is a secluded luxury resort situated on the South Bight of Andros, accessible only by boat or seaplane.

Set amongst beautiful tropical surroundings, the resort offers elegant beachfront villas, excellent dining and a relaxed atmosphere. Guests can enjoy swimming, snorkelling, kayaking and exploring the surrounding coastline.

Swain's Cay Lodge

Swain's Cay Lodge is a friendly beachfront lodge in Mangrove Cay, providing a comfortable base for exploring the extensive flats of central Andros.

Accommodation ranges from garden-view to beachfront rooms, all with private bathrooms and air conditioning. The lodge's Reefside Restaurant serves excellent local Bahamian food in a relaxed setting overlooking the water.

Bair's Lodge is one of the best-known specialist bonefishing lodges in South Andros, situated between Deep Creek and Little Creek.

These waterways provide access to an enormous expanse of inland flats, mangrove channels and small cays, offering superb opportunities for both wading and fishing from a skiff.

The lodge has seven comfortable, air-conditioned guest rooms, excellent food and a relaxed atmosphere. Experienced local guides have an intimate knowledge of the surrounding waters, making Bair's an excellent choice for dedicated bonefishermen.

Kamalame Cay is a beautiful private island resort situated off the east coast of Andros, with elegant beachfront cottages and villas spread along three miles of white sand beach.

The resort offers exceptional accommodation, excellent cuisine, a renowned overwater spa and a wonderfully peaceful setting. It is one of our favourite options for couples, particularly where one guest wishes to fish while the other enjoys the resort.

Mount Pleasant is a small, family-run fishing lodge near Cargill Creek in central Andros, particularly well suited to anglers looking for independent, DIY bonefishing.

The lodge overlooks the beautiful flats of White Bight, with excellent wade fishing accessible directly from the accommodation. Anglers can explore extensive white sand flats and tidal creeks on foot, with kayaks providing access to more distant areas.

Accommodation is in comfortable, air-conditioned cottages, with meals provided at the lodge. Guided fishing can also be arranged for those wishing to explore the North Bight and other waters further afield.

Mount Pleasant offers a flexible and comparatively affordable alternative to a traditional fully guided bonefishing lodge, and is an excellent choice for experienced anglers who enjoy finding their own fish.
