Fly Fishing in Sweden

Sweden offers some of Europe's finest wilderness fishing, with an extraordinary network of rivers, streams and lakes set amongst vast forests, mountains and beautiful unspoilt countryside.

The fishing is wonderfully varied, with excellent opportunities for grayling, brown trout, Arctic char, pike and Atlantic salmon. Much of the country remains sparsely populated, and anglers can enjoy fishing in peaceful surroundings, often with very little pressure from other fishermen.

The long summer days are a particular attraction, especially in northern Sweden, where the midnight sun provides almost endless opportunities to fish. Dry-fly fishing for grayling and trout can be especially rewarding, with prolific insect hatches bringing fish to the surface throughout the summer.
